Privacy Policy

Growing in Christ is a Christ-centered devotional web app. It takes what you choose to share and creates a personalized devotional, prayer, and worship song. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal information.

Information we collect

• Account information: if you create an account, your email address and password (passwords are stored securely by our authentication provider, Supabase).
• Profile preferences: optional details you choose to save — such as first names, life stage, faith stage, and relationship details — used only to personalize your devotional content.
• What you share: the text or voice input you provide ("what's on your heart") — a voice recording is sent for transcription and is not kept by the app, and any conversation you have with the in-app voice companion.
• Generated content: the devotionals, prayers, song lyrics, and audio created for you.

How we use your information

• To generate your personalized devotional, prayer, and worship song.
• To save your preferences so your experience carries across your devices when signed in.
• To provide the optional read-aloud audio and the optional voice conversation feature.

Google user data (Google sign-in & Google Drive)

Signing in with Google is optional. If you choose to use "Save to Google Drive," the app requests the limited drive.file permission. This permission lets the app create and save only the files it generates for you (your devotional, prayer, song, and audio) into your own Google Drive.

• The app cannot see, read, or access any other files in your Google Drive.
• We use your Google data only to save your generated content at your request — nothing else.
• We do not transfer your Google user data to others except as needed to provide this feature, and we do not use it for advertising.

Third-party services

To create your content, your input is processed by trusted AI providers: Anthropic (devotional, prayer, lyrics), OpenAI (turning your spoken words into text, and read-aloud audio), xAI or OpenAI (the optional voice conversation), and Kie AI (worship song generation). Authentication and storage are provided by Supabase, and the app is hosted on Netlify. These providers process your content to deliver the service.

Data retention

Your saved profile and session history remain in your account until you delete them or request deletion. Content you save to your Google Drive lives in your own Drive and is controlled by you.

Your choices

• You can use the app with just an email and password — Google sign-in is never required.
• You can request that we delete your account and associated data by contacting us.
• You can remove the app's Google Drive access anytime in your Google Account settings.

Children

This app is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13.
